Who am I?
Hello, I’m Thiago Chinellato, a visual artist moved by silence, light and the permanence of simple things.
My photography is born from close observation. I’m not interested in just recording landscapes, but in revealing what they awaken — a sense of scale, contemplation, presence. I like to reduce the excess so that the essence appears. What remains when everything superfluous disappears.
I have a degree in Law, and this training taught me discipline, structure and coherence. Music, which has always been part of my life, taught me sensitivity, rhythm and pause. Between these two worlds I built my language: images that balance rigor and emotion, strength and silence.
I work with minimalism, contrast and negative space as active elements. The light is part of the narrative. The emptiness is not absence — it is breath. Each work is created with clear intention and respect for the time of the observer.
In addition to my authorial production, I also dedicate myself to photography of trials — couples, women, children and pets. In these experiences, I apply the same sensitive and intentional look, but with a focus on human connection. More than poses, I seek truth. More than pretty images, I try to create memories that carry feeling and identity.
I believe that each person has their own atmosphere, and my role is to reveal this with naturalness and elegance. The rehearsal is a space of confidence, lightness and presence — where technique and sensitivity go hand in hand.
I develop works and photographic projects designed to cross time. Whether in the landscape that dialogues with architecture, or in the portrait that captures a phase of life, my intention is the same: to create images that make people stop, feel and stay for a few moments.
Because, for me, art does not take up space. It creates meaning.
